People's Daily Online, Beijing, September 24 (Zhao Zhuqing) - China's first centimeter-level precision Beidou receiver with satellite-based augmentation, the China Precision Satellite-based Augmentation Receiver, was unveiled for the first time today at the 4th China Satellite Navigation and Location Services Annual Conference and China Satellite Navigation and Positioning Exhibition.
The China Precision Satellite-based Augmentation Receiver, developed by Beijing United Strong Technology Co., Ltd., enables instant access to centimeter-level precision augmentation services and supports any third-party satellite navigation devices through its relay function. At the conference, United Strong announced that this new product is equipped with the centimeter-level China Precision Positioning Service H10 and offers a one-year free usage period.
"China Precision" is a global satellite-based high-precision augmentation service system launched by Unicore in June 2015. It enables Beidou users in China to enjoy convenient augmentation services at three different accuracy levels: sub-meter, decimeter, and centimeter, at any location worldwide without the need to set up base stations. "China Precision" broadcasts differential data to the world through L-band geostationary orbit communication satellites, enabling high-precision positioning services in areas that are not covered by more ground-based augmentation network signals, such as oceans, deserts, and mountainous areas.
After testing, "China Precision" outperforms similar international service systems in key indicators such as positioning accuracy, relative accuracy, and convergence time. It is also China's first satellite-based wide-area augmentation system with world-leading level, possessing full independent intellectual property rights and full control. It breaks the technological monopoly and blockade of international enterprises, safeguards the security and autonomy of national geospatial information, and compensates for the availability and integrity of China's satellite navigation industry.
According to reports, China's precision satellite-based augmentation receivers have a wide range of applications, with great prospects in fields such as precision agriculture, land surveying, and marine applications. In the field of precision agriculture, due to the open application scenarios and almost unobstructed conditions, which are conducive to satellite convergence, a single machine can achieve centimeter-level positioning accuracy without the need to set up base stations and communication links, making it easy to install and use. In marine applications such as geophysical surveys, drilling, geophysical exploration of oil and gas, and geological and mineral exploration, China's precision can provide high-precision positioning solutions at sea, especially in remote waters, offering centimeter-level, decimeter-level, and submeter-level positioning accuracy. In land surveying applications such as oil pipeline surveys and river channel surveys, the relay function of China's precision satellite-based augmentation receivers allows multiple different types of GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) devices to operate simultaneously. Since there is no need to set up base stations, this makes high-precision surveying operations more flexible.
